About Us

We're Galileo Optical Boutique, and we've been providing the Chicago, IL, area with a complete range of optical services since 1991. Our team provides exams, diagnoses, and treatments for all eye or vision disorders. In addition to training in eye diseases and disorders, our optometrists are trained to recognize a range of health issues such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, and hypertension. Our optometrists work hard to stay current on the latest advances in eye health and vision care, and regularly attend continuing education seminars and advanced training courses. Our Story

Galileo Optical Boutique was founded in 1991. This establishment was named after the famous "Galileo Galilei" born 15 February 1564 - 8 January 1642, commonly known as Galileo. Galileo was an Italian physicist, mathematician, astronomer and philosopher who played a major role in the Scientific Revolution. His achievements include improvements to the telescope and consequent astronomical observations, and support for Copernicanism. Galileo has been called the "father of modern observational astronomy", the "father of modern physics", the "father of science", and "the Father of Modern Science". Stephen Hawking says, "Galileo, perhaps more than any other single person, was responsible for the birth of modern science."

We are a full service boutique offering designer eye wear at affordable prices. It is very important that our patients make an informed decision in the selection of frame and lens material. We are trained to help you make the correct choice in size, shape, and color of the frame as well as selecting the latest lens technology for your new prescription.
